Extraordinary facts

Anyone who thinks they have got a big family, ought to read this.

Let me to tell you about something I just read tonight and found it hard to even imagine, let alone believe.


In the 18th century, there was a family in Russia called Vassilyev, who broke the record for the greatest number of children born to one mother.

Valentina Vassilyev gave birth to 69 children!!
These were made up of 16 pairs of twins, seven tripulets, and four sets of quadruplets!

Can you imagine that? I am surprised it didn't kill her giving birth to that many, and multiple births too.
The article didn't say how many survived.


Does anyone else know any interesting or extraordinary facts?
