Re: Gumbud's poems
As I sat in an evensong glade
The trees tops broke the sun to a fade
And the gentle night breeze that blew through the trees
Reminded me of moments with you
We stole every minute we had
Tinged with some joyful and sad
Knew there was an end that we couldn’t defend
But the memories still haunt me of you
The grandchildren they’ve come and they’ve gone
I wonder if you recall that old song
That still whispers afar on the bright southern star
We nearly made it back then my sweatheart
