Me too, Roxy. It is not so bad once you get used to the fast days is it. Well, they're not complete 'fast days' at all are they, they are just lower calorie intake than the other days of the week.

I bought the book about it first, which explains all the 'hows and why's' and it made sense, so I did it.
I need to start it again though, as I got rather sidetracked.

I remember that nice Dr. Mosely experimenting with all different diets on his programme a while back, and he approved of the 5:2 and does it himself now.

I like that bloke because he actually experiments on himself so knows from personal experience what happens.

Realspeed, you're not Diabetic are you? If you are, then you need to let your GP know first before doing any Crush Diets as your sugar levels will go down rapidly.

Myself i'm like Realist, I think a well balanced healthy food is better for you.

I agree, Aysa. And I like him because he goes into personal side, the scientific side, and the medical side as well.
He doesn't lecture, he just puts it over in an interesting, easy to understand way and let's us decide.

If you eat sensibly you can eat lots but make sure you exercise too and you will soon see the weight come off.

Perhaps I can answer that.

The idea that losing weight is nothing to do with health is frankly wrong.

Being overweight is not a problem in itself. It is a SYMPTOM of being unwell, unhealthy, uneducated (in terms of food and the body's needs) and generally is endemic of poor life priorities.

If you need to lose weight, then yes, you are currently not healthy.
