A blast from the past. Four bob, most of us can remember what that is but try asking anyone under thirty and they'd think you were talking about four men called bob.

They have. Perhaps as much, or more so, in my field as any other. Engineering.

When I started it was in Imperial units. Feet, inches, pounds, 3/0.029 cables. LSD currency. In science at school we had CGS, then MKS, and now SI. Système international. Used everywhere in the world except USA and Myanmar .

Re: Do you remember these?

I've inherited a whole lot of magazines from the 70's, I put some ads on "The Way We Were" thread.
What is noticable is the "non-gender specific" clothing available then. You know the stuff that's getting us oldies hot under the collar these days!
Remember Tomorrow's World where people on the future would go around in boiler suits that we all thought looked all Space Agey and cool?
Men with long hair, crocheted waistcoats, kaftans, women in trousers and waistcoats (good grief!).
