Re: Heating on

We had out boiler serviced last weekend so we are all set to turn on next month.

We were charged £50 for the service by a Worcester Bosch plumber ..... I thought that was a good price.

Got mine on low now and have been putting it on and off for the last fortnight. Doesn't matter how many layers I put on I still feel the cold ... just right now

Re: Heating on

I've had the fire on for about an hour the last two evenings just to take the chill off the lounge. Mags £50 is a very good price for a service, I usually pay around £70.

Re: Heating on

No fire and no heating on yet. Him indoors says 1st December before we can turn it on. I think it's going to be a case of who gives in first at our house.

Snow in October......groan.
But it's true enough for us, usually the Snow is on top of the Mountains by then and I feel my Winter Blues hovering.
Our Fire is lit from about 4pm each day but the main heating is still off.

Re: Heating on

Its definately the damp that makes old bones ache, and mostly its been wet here all summer. The heating goes on at tea time and I sit with a rug on my knees at night.

Re: Heating on

When I moved I didn't bring my space heater; wish now I had. It's been damp and chilly for a few days but the building hasn't cut the heating on yet.
I regret donating it to the church sale now; a little heat would be nice!
