I break the stem end off first then peel down a bit at a time but if I'm using it for banana splits I usually score the skin lengthways with a knife.

I also peel from the bottom. I will slice one and make a sandwich and add a small amount of honey.
Or cut it up put into blender with milk. (Ice cream sometimes) It becomes a banana smoothly.
I buy them green sometimes as at times they ripen too fast.
I will eat them with brown spots but not when they are over ripe and squishy.
I fancy one now.

Yes that's how my granddaughter and all the family eat them, me I hate ALL fruit.

OMG .. I don't believe the amount of people eating it holding the stem ..

I always cut the top bit and bottom bit off a banana before eating it, I read once because spiders nest in those bits, whether it's true or not I don't know but I always do it.
