Covid-19 survival calculator

https://www.covid19survivalcalculator.com/en/calculator

I took part in this and found that my final results were:

Infection Risk 6%
Mortality Risk If Infected 2.323%
Survival Probability 99.861%

which I think are not bad for a diabetic person of my age.

Why not have a go yourself, but you must answer the questions honestly!

Re: Covid-19 survival calculator

I have to say that these 'survival probability' figures are very encouraging.

I know that many people have died of Covid, but if we old people are coming up with figures like that, I can only assume that many of the people who have died must have had some pre-existing condition or even illness.

I think that when they publish these 'death by Covid' figures, they should provide further details to clarify the real causes of death.

We must remember though that it doesn't mean we can take any risks, JB...

Yes, of course. I shall continue to behave as I have been doing - as a responsible person!

Re: Covid-19 survival calculator

Hmmm ... I couldn't answer what my blood group was as I don't know it, so it didn't give me a result.

But seen as you all seem to be getting a survival rate of over 99% I'll assume I would be safe too.

I think you would have known if you had one of the rarer blood groups Morty, I am the common 0.

Re: Covid-19 survival calculator

I get the impression it's American although at the bottom it says Nexoid UK.

I'm unsure about the survival calculator ... just because I don't tend to trust these type of predictability things anyway.

I'll let you know what happens

Re: Covid-19 survival calculator

Ah, there's a thought. I'll fill in the common 0 then just to see what it says.

Survival Probability
Infection Risk 5%
Mortality Risk If Infected 0.366%
Survival Probability 99.982%

I say .. that's a good survival risk ... must be because I filled in that I'd quit smoking.
