I read in our news that the Mother has declared that she wants nothing more to do with the daughter. If that is the kind of mother she is maybe the daughter was looking for affection elsewhere. Also that her father has said that the two of them, teacher and girl, love each other and she has stated that she will wait for him and they will be married. At least his prison sentence will be a test of time.

Perhaps there was more to this than has been disclosed, if her mother as you say washed her hands of her daughter, what sort of relationship had she with her parents anyway.
Maybe the girl was looking for a shoulder to cry on, and her teach was the only one who would listen, and he just happened to be a predator, quite often a state of affairs, but if they do marry maybe there is more to this than anybody knows, I suppose it is a case of watch this space.
