Mups, By coincidence, l was only wondering yesterday, if it were possible to grow roses from cuttings?
I have always thought it impossible as l thought roses were grafted on.
I would love to try it but l’d probably get potatoes growing instead!
I wish they had showed you the results of the planted roses in the clip.
I haven't tried potatoes as I don't buy them.
However, I've had success just using rooting hormone and compost.
I nicked a bit of a little rambling rose growing over a wall along the lane. It's coming on a treat!
All I do is tear off a non flowering shoot with a heel. Dip it in hormone, or not sometimes if I can't be bothered and stick it in the side of a pit of compost.
Tried it once some time back but gave it up when the potato’s rotted and started to smell, cleaned the cutting up, dipped it in rooting powder and right now it has flowered ..three buds a weird looking yellow colour and not sure of the variety.

Did you bury your spud in compost Vlad? If so, was it buried in the ground or a pot?
How's your Dahlias doing this year? Mine are just starting to flower. Got a pretty new one this year called 'Juliet.'
