At last..... congratulations Andy Murray!

After 76 years Britain has at last won a Grand Slam title thanks to the magnificent effort by Andy Murray last night. I stayed up until 2.00am listening to the US Open on Radio4 Live.

It's been a magnificent year for Murray, reaching the final at Wimbledon, winning the gold medal in the Olympics ..... and now winning the US Open!

Congratulations Andy, you were terrific and did us proud!

Well done Andy. He has worked very hard and deserves it.

Couldn't agree more, that feel good factor still lingers on thank goodness, although I don't follow tennis avidly I think it's great to see young Andy winning the American open after his success in the olympics, well done to him, long may he triumph

What a brilliant match it was.
So pleased i stayed up to watch it.
The power in the serves you could tell by the end that they were both in pain.
He has certainly grown up over the last year and proved that he can suceed and doesent let silly things get to him anymore.
Well done Andy
