The 1990's was a good decade for "original" movies and this is one of the best.

There are several fascinating "aspects" to the film, the Minnesota accent being one ("Yah, you betcha") and Norm Gunderson's preoccupation with the "Million Dollar Duck" stamp competition (which, at the time I'd never heard of) being another .....

It was a good film with lots of spin off merchandise (the lamp). I have the new(ish) netflix series from the film on my list.

I agree. A great film indeed, as was last nights Three Billboards, also with Frances McDormand. Another black comedy.

I also watched Billboards last night for the second time, the first was in the Cinema. Frances McDormand is a fantastic actress, married to Joel Coen, who with his brother Ethan, directed Fargo. Both are excellent movies, well worth a watch.

Loved the film Fargo .... but by the end they'd driven me nuts with their ... Yah.

Many people I know thought this film were brilliant.

But.... for me it wasn't great, okay at best.
