They get a diet of turkey, chicken, beef, liver, chicken hearts and gizzards, salmon ( very occasionally ) pork, fresh frozen cod, occasionally hard boiled eggs along with sweet potatoes, carrots, fennel, zucchini, parsnips, celery, green and yellow beans, peas, brussel sprays, cauliflower, broccoli.

They get one type of meat along with sweet potatoes and usually three different vegetables which get rotated daily. They don’t get sick from changing their diet like they do with processed dog food.
Can I come to your house for lunch?

I'd like to go to Bratti's for some of her fresh farmed produce too! Not to eat though.

Yes although I was after yes yes's rather than no noes. I did think that garlic & onion were safe in small quantities. I say that because I had a colleague who used to add garlic to special home made cooked meat stews that she would feed her dog. The dog lived a long life. A lot of conflicting advice on this. There are some who think it's good for dogs.

They are. In fact many reputable dog food and treat manufacturers use garlic in their products.

I have always stuck to the dog food after getting a great telling off by a vet when I asked why they couldn't eat leftovers. She then proceeded to put it in Teddy's notes that I had made a point about this and how she had to educate me on human food being bad for dogs. Grr.

Anyway since then I've been terrified of getting it wrong. he does scrounge and get treats from others.
Yes I cook all the food. I cook enough for a few meals worth. I like cooking for them cause I can add things like turmeric , ginger and a bit of oil of oregano. They love their food and it’s made a HUGE difference to our 15 year old. She wasn’t doing too well before and two years later she looks and acts 5 years younger and sometimes they do get a bit of garlic. It has terrific healing properties. It is great for blood pressure and acts like an natural antibiotic. Between that and the oil of oregano it’s done a lot of good for our girls. The only thing I have to watch for is their teeth. I’ve got to brush them or give them denta sticks and wash their faces daily so thy don’t get fresh food stuck in their beard. It’s a lot of work but they’re family and I will do anything to make them healthier.
