Re: Has anyone here had an MRI scan

My brother had one today and even he was offered music! So listen up, I'm going to contact my lawyers and say I am suffering trauma from the experiences!

Not a Mr Warren-Smith by any chance?

This matter of the NHS using private hospitals raises some interesting questions.

There has been a lot of talk about privatisation of the NHS. I wonder, should this ever happen, whether the outcome might just be as favourable to the patients as your experience at the Alex.

Perhaps if we take away the inefficient and possibly corrupt management in the NHS and start again, things might just be better. Certainly, if the NHS pays for private hospitals to help provide their service and the outcome is so good from a patient's perspective, it's worth thinking about.

Salford Royal (or Hope as it was called) certainly does MRI scans. My good wife set up the department years ago.

Is there such a thing as 'aftercare' at Stepping Hill?

Care is a forbidden word with that shower.

Perhaps their lists are full. That's one reason that they outsource.

I can definitely assure you that there is at least two MRI scanners at Hope, though.

I once attended for a diabetic checkup there. I sat for about two hours, only to be informed that my appointment had been cancelled due to the non-attendance of a doctor. Surprisingly, it took them two hours to realise he wasn't there!

I complained and demanded recompense for my car parking charges. A manager of some sort was called and handed me a £2 coin.

I haven't been there since.
