Iced tea is nice! Very refreshing. I believe they call it 'the Champagne of the South' in the USA. Although that does seem to be praising it a bit too much!

I believe it is a very sweet tea in the US South. A friend from South Carolina once told me it can never be sweet enough. Something like 1 1/2 cups sugar to every 5-6 teabags - can't remember how much water.
But it sure sounds extra-sweet!

Whoa that's sweet alright! Bet the dentists down there all love that - for their patients!!

I know you can buy it in the USA as a powder that you just add water to, or, like here, in a bottle, which I admit I do, lol. They sell a mango one at Lidl which is really nice, or peach, 0.99€ for 2 litres.

You can buy it powdered here also, but it's way too sweet for me, and well, not really tea-ey!
I make sun tea when the weather cooperates, and add loads of lemons, and ice.

Re: Favourite summer drink?

Elderflower cordial but as it contains sugar I only have a tiny drop with ice and a slice of lemon.

That's a new one on me. So it comes with sugar, as in a concentrate?
