Hi

I agree totally.

We need to decide our own future, not be reliant upon others.

Re: EU ups the VAT on energy saving measures

Excuse me.

The topic has nothing to do with the last two pages of RUBBISH posted

It is the placing of different % of VAT on certain things.

Put in Double glazing to save on heating bills VAT at 20%

Install Loft lagging VAT at 20%

Installing C/H on existing homes(New builds no Vat charged)Other homes VAT at 20%

We do not have VAT charged as in some other EU countries of Papers and Childs Clothing.

We did not have a VAT charge on are Heating cost before a Labour Govenment imposed it at the top rate at the time of10%(I think)

Thatcher tried to remove it but because of UE law VAT was still imposed but was set at 5%.

Because of EU law anything that was giving a VAT rate can never be reduced to Zero.

Re: EU ups the VAT on energy saving measures

I wonder what the 'nasty party' will do about VAT if the UK votes 'no' in the referendum. Will we, for instance revert to purchase tax and will it be more than VAT???
