It's worse than that, Meg, according to Sir Bob Geldof, there won't be any music after Brexit .... how will we cope.

This only serves to confirm that having done their market research the German car manufacturers are fairly confident that a sufficient number of their UK customers will still buy their products even with tariffs.
So much for the German car industry pressuring Merkel to concede to the UK demands

The only worries they have is regarding the cars made here such as the Mini where they may need to move production if no deal is reached

My predictions

1. Withdrawal Bill - rejected by parliament because nothing has been changed

2. Extend A50 - rejected by Parliament - it means no Brexit and doesn't solve any problems

3. Vote against leaving with no deal - rejected by parliament because its not possible , the EU have to agree and the only way that will happen is if they cave in to our concessions (see above)

4. Leave the EU on 24th March using A24 of GATT

5. UK signs up 40 new FTAs within the first week of us leaving

6. Existing FTAs with the EU come under scrutiny (Japan, Canada and Singapore mainly) and tensions rise between them and the EU

There you go

Concessions have been made by the EU, stipulated by the UK's red lines.

My prediction:

March 12, the house votes down May's deal,
March 13 the house votes to rule out no deal option
March 14 the house votes to request an extension of article 50.

March 21 the EU commission vote to accept the request, after spain's demands to release gibraltar are aknowledged.
The extension is at first discussed to be ending on july, when the new european parliament is installed. On second thoughts this is date is advanced to may 23, the day of elections for the european parliament. This is based on legal advice. If extended past election date the citizens of the UK are denied the fundamental right to vote for representation in the european parliament.

Late april, early may, the house decides that the extension period is too short for a second referendum or general elections. Faced with this inevitabilty the house decides to revoke article 50.
By this time UK citizens have more important things to think of (where to spent the vacation), and are only too glad brexit is over.

How does that sound?

How exactly can we rule out no deal without any agreement with the EU ?

We have a deal - the withdrawal agreement, and as you agree this will be voted down. The "leave with no deal" vote is meaningless - all it would do is signal the UK surrendering to the EU. And how long would an extension be ? Do you think the EU and the UK would be able to agree ? Not a chance ...

We should just walk away

I don't know why you write all this garbage (Spain and gibraltaretc) Maybe your just a wind up merchant that's drunk too much stella. Either that or your a closet fascist who not only worships his dictators in Brussels but also his heroes like Franco.

There you go
Hi

Could you please stop posting Fake News.

The EU do not have to agree.

A 24 of Gatt has already been rejected.

Liam Fox has already said we cannot sign up to 40 FTAs
within the first week.

They are not interested.

Existing FTAs do not come under scrutiny at all.

They are happy with them.

Get Real.

Leaving is essential, to pretend it will be easy and others will come flocking is a complete lie.

Re: Well fancy that ...

Existing FTAs will come under scrutiny. They were made with the UK as part of those agreements ... we are leaving so those agreements change. Whether they remain acceptable to the rest of the world is doubtful.

The EU cant rejected A24 it is part of the Gatt agreement that they signed up to. If they did I would expect more sanctions on them from countries like the USA. They have said they "wont use A24" which is ompletely different to what your saying.

How many germans will be u employed if we leave without a deal ? Go on Google it up...
