Re: Breaking News Hong Kong

The protests over recent months appear to have had a positive result. As much as I am against violent confrontation such as this sometimes there is no other answer.

"Full withdrawal is one of five key demands of protesters, who are also calling for full democratic rights."

Good news.
However much those protesters fought and caused chaos, they won in the end.

They won, the biggest turnout in democratic participation that Hong Kong has seen. Nearly 3 million!

I'll remind you of your posting, in twenty years time, when the Chinese have taken over ALL the ownership of our housing, businesses, manufacturing, etc.

They're well on the way.

Such is the nature of things. There's absolutely nothing that we can do.

It's all about market forces.

Let's face it, Britain is a long spent nation with a standard of living much higher than we should have only because of ever increasing debt from ever increasing sale of Gilts and the hugely inflated housing market that is injecting equity into our internal economy by foreign funded mortgages.
