Re: As Grimsby Turns it's back on Labour

As many working class people say, Bread, they want to remain labour voters but cannot vote for Corbyn. He wants to return to ideals which are from a bygone era. He's a dangerous prospect.

People need a leader who is for the working man but also has his feet on the ground in the prrsent day, not the past.

Re: As Grimsby Turns it's back on Labour

Not just Grimsby but large areas of the North of England. Many Labour supporters would never vote Tory on principle but they will vote for the Brexit party and this was made quite clear when people there were being interviewed recently.
Once we have left the EU they will return to Labour.

Emily Thornberry MP isn't going to win many votes for Labour , in her appearances on QT and the Today programme she is saying Labours policy is ....
..to have a manifesto that supports remain,
..if Labour win the election they will renegotiate the terms of leaving the EU then have another referendum (taking months ) where Labour supports remain.
In other words they will renegotiate a deal which they will then refuse to support it

I was about to mention also that many here would vote Brexit in place of Labour, mainly because they are sick and fed up of the whole thing.

The only problem there as I've mentioned before, is that it's okay voting for Farage and his troupe but where to next...?

Also Thornberry also stated ....

this morning Emily Thornberry confirmed on the Today programme that, if Johnson goes ahead as planned with a second vote on an early election on Monday night, after the Benn bill has royal assent, Labour will still refuse to support the move. Asked if there would be a “no” from Labour on Monday, she replied: “Yes.”

So she says Labour will not support the vote for another election on Monday, with this action Labour is sending voters into the arms of the Brexit party.

I've supported labour all my life but looking at the idiots they keep parading in front of the media, seeing them ignore the referendum. I'm outtathere and not sure who to vote for really, greens look reasonable people, brexit party ? Perhaps brexit to get brexit done then greens once we are out.

I can't really understand anyone voting for them they seem to not grasp simplest terms put to them these days. I didn't realise how uneducated the MPs were until all this.

You couldn't make it up !

I just hope Boris' GE one line bill goes through on Monday. According to Mogg, by giving the Benn Bill Royal Ascent, the tories have satisified Labours demands for a general election.

Let's see of the "party of principle" will keep their word

Its not only the labour party Bread, but the whole remainer
establishment is scared shyteless of an election before
exit, hence the increasing pressure for a useless second
referendum, or extension or repeal A50 or or or or
anything BUT an early GE!!!
I hope revenge is going to be sweet?

Your absolutely right DM.

I've rebranded the General Election as "Judgement Day"

Got a nice ring to it ...

I watched that last night - Emily Thornberry made ridiculous comments and was rightly harangued for them. Another Labour MP with no idea.

That shrieking Lib-Dem politician was another - kept going on about having a referendum with leave or remain on it. Excuse me, but didn't the original referendum have the same leave or remain option on it? As an aside, if another referendum came out as leave again, her illustrious leader Jo Swinson is on record as saying that she wouldn't accept it and would continue to campaign to remain. If that's the case, why bother having another referendum in the first place if you're going to ignore the result?
