I watched that last night - Emily Thornberry made ridiculous comments and was rightly harangued for them. Another Labour MP with no idea.
That shrieking Lib-Dem politician was another - kept going on about having a referendum with leave or remain on it. Excuse me, but didn't the original referendum have the same leave or remain option on it? As an aside, if another referendum came out as leave again, her illustrious leader Jo Swinson is on record as saying that she wouldn't accept it and would continue to campaign to remain. If that's the case, why bother having another referendum in the first place if you're going to ignore the result?
Didnt she say WITHOUT remain or leave on it Juddy??
Not just Grimsby but large areas of the North of England. Many Labour supporters would never vote Tory on principle but they will vote for the Brexit party and this was made quite clear when people there were being interviewed recently.
Once we have left the EU they will return to Labour.
Emily Thornberry MP isn't going to win many votes for Labour , in her appearances on QT and the Today programme she is saying Labours policy is ....
..to have a manifesto that supports remain,
..if Labour win the election they will renegotiate the terms of leaving the EU then have another referendum (taking months ) where Labour supports remain.
In other words they will renegotiate a deal which they will then refuse to support it
Yes Meg, I haven't stopped laughing at this ridiculous woman since I first saw the above. She has made herself (not hard) look cretinous, as she has the Labour Party.
Not since her debacle tweeting her scorn at White Van Man, has she so helped Brexit. Thanks Emily, keep up the good work. That's only a couple of million former Labour voters who will be voting for either Boris or Nigel.
So she says Labour will not support the vote for another election on Monday, with this action Labour is sending voters into the arms of the Brexit party.
As there is no GE, no one can vote for the brexit party (yet).
