I Was Thinking The Other Day.....

I know you’ll think.... ‘Oh No! Artangel is asking one of her random, weird questions again’....but it occurred to me. You never see a ‘lovebite’ on anyone these days. Well, l haven’t but then, l don’t go looking for them!!
They were horrible things and very cheapening, usually heavily disguised by make up or a scarf!
I once read, they could cause the person receiving it, to have a stroke.

Have you seen any lately? Horrible things, aren’t they?

I have never had nor given a love bite Art. Too busy elsewhere if you know what I mean.

I can't understand why a love bite should cause anyone to have a stroke!

To the best of my knowledge, the result is simply a bruise on the skin.

Now come on, Angel. Who's been giving you love bites?

perhaps if you have a lovebite on your carotid artery when you are over 50 you might be at risk of a stroke particularly if it's really intense and the guy has no teeth????

I can't see many people our age having one , but I expect the youngsters still do, don't they?

Probably more likely to see them in the skimpy summer clothes though, than the scarves and polo necks worn in this weather.

It just occurred to me for some unknown reason?

Apparently but rarely, the suction can cause a clot and if the clot goes to the brain, it causes a stroke.
