Although I personally wouldn't go to purchase anything like that at the eleventh hour...strictly speaking while the store is open for business it's open for business...stores can lock the door at the allotted time, but they are obliged to serve those customers already inside.
security guard on the door 10 mins before closing time
to stop any late comers entering the store.
