Re: Regrets

Yea, but what I meant was, do you usually try to 'economise' on stuff, and it ending up on the scrap heap, or do you indulge in splashing out on something grand only to regret it when you see it later for half the price? Does lasting quality come at a price or can you do things well on a shoestring ?
You're right Julie... sometimes you have to spend out and do things properly.
A colleague used to quote.. "If you don't do it properly, you have to do it twice."
There's a lot of sense in that George.

If I indulge in splashing out on something I only do it if it is worth the price to me. So if I see it later at half price I may have a brief moment of remorse, but I would still think it had been worth it.
I think there are a lot of things you can do well on a shoestring, but sometimes it just means you have to be more patient.

Re: Regrets

I get a kick out of getting more for my money......gets me up in a morning! Have to beat them a their own game.

I did buy a small set of drawers, cd store type....... that was expensive and I felt a bit guilty but I love it and it will last for years. I very rarely have a personal treat apart from a decent haircut, occasionally.

Buy cheap, buy twice. I've learned that a few times.
