Muddy, you are so misguided and frankly quite ignorant about people who partake in this form of physical training.
True, some do this but is it any worse than millions of (mostly) women who are posting photos of themselves on Instagram and FB at every given opportunity?
Most people who visit the gym do so to keep themselves in good shape as it keeps the body less susceptical to serious illness in future years.
It's only those who do not understand who criticise in cases like this.

My son has done personal training and managed gyms for years so I am not totally ignorant.

Definitely. Who needs to buy a camera anymore. I believe Kodak went bust because of mobiles.
