Best and worst situations

Apart from when you are asleep, in what situation do you feel at your most relaxed?

Alternatively, which situation(s) make(s) you feel anxious or out of your comfort zone?

I'm most relaxed talking with friends in the pub at the weekend when work is not a feature of my life. Time to chill and catch up through conversation.

I get most anxious and irritated at store checkouts or if I'm about to be late for something.
And having not enough time to do things annoys me more than anything else. I get extremely frustrated watching the clock.

I feel most relaxed when I’m at home, doing the things I want to do, work used to make me anxious,I say used to as I don’t give a sh#t now, they can do what they like, I’m off next year..,
I also don’t like supermarket shopping, but I don’t get anxious, just impatient..

Walking around a car boot sale, you never know what you might find & if I do get something good it gives me a buzz all day.

Re: Best and worst situations

Feel most relaxed when i have 'time',
& know whats happening around me.
Taking my dog to the park...bliss.
Baking ahhhh

Being in a rush makes me feel very anxious,
Also the 'sudden big bill' always makes me anxious!!
& The feeling of too many things going at once...that confused feeling.
Markets & packed places...which is constant for me in London !

So i've just realised i live in a near constant state of 'anxiousness' !!

Best time is relaxing with friends/neighbours at home, Worst time when I nearly died about 3 years ago and Sue was warned I might not pull through.

My most relaxed has to be by the sea. Any sea really but a nice warm one is best. The sound of the waves crashing on rocks or rolling along the sand.... I'm drifting off just thinking about it.

Most anxious ... anywhere crowded. Shopping centres that sort of thing and definitely airports.

Re: Best and worst situations

most relaxed? with a good book, I guess.

most unrelaxed? gathering, lots of people I know, asking stupid questions, and I'm trying to be on my best behaviour.

Big crowds of people I don't know? no problem.

Most relaxed at home or walking the dogs or playing the sax
Least relaxed- amongst a crowd of people where I am expected to socialize or being in extreme physical pain

Re: Best and worst situations

I'd say I was most relaxed reading a book same as d00d.

Most un-relaxed - hospital appointments.

Re: Best and worst situations

I'll add another state of anxiety which tends to occur with me.
I hate to have anything on my mind which I haven't sorted out. I.e. leaving things festering such as problems which need to be dealt with. Drives me mad.
