I suppose he was one of the early TV chefs before all the others muscled in. He always seemed like a pleasant bloke and I mainly remember his spiky hair.
Very sad. I guess that the injury and related metal plate in his skull years ago might also have added complications.
I remember watching some of his XMas meals series a few years ago and how he said that although one can spend a load of time making one's own pudding, why bother as there are plenty on the market just as good. Not often you hear a pro come out with that!
My heart goes out to his family. Such a sad loss, as it is for anyone who loses a Husband, Son or Brother. I used to really enjoy watching him on television. He could rustle up a meal from any old ingredients from the fridge and veggie basket. Very talented and will be sadly missed.
