After lifting the underlay, some of the thermoplastic tiles came up, which had to be sorted.

I had to sort that and paint the skirtings ready for Tuesday.

During moving the furniture out, the lads banged the lounge wall next to the hallway door and a hole appeared.

Someone had removed an air vent and instead of making good had simply papered over it with lining paper.

Carpet was fitted Tuesday late afternoon, a real struggle to get it in the lounge, too big to go through the window.

Broadband troubles, so on to EE, again.

Moved some furniture back in, Zac and Derek were late back.

Fridge in kitchen started leaking, just over a year old, so out of warranty.

Phone charger was not working, could not find usb cable to charge from laptop.

Broke modem connection to TV during refitting.

Yesterday, continued reconnecting the Rat's Nest of wiring, problems with Hue Hub.

Loaded car up with old carpet and underlay, well some of it, first load.

Set off for recycling centre, only a mile away.

Road closed with Police Incident, marked cars and ambulances, it was 2 hours before I got back.

Prat neighbours had parked up on part of my cross over and ripped up the grass with the van.

They refused to move.

The lodgers were not here, caught up in a Police Incident in Birkenhead.

That turned into a major row with neighbours.

Loaded up again this morning with carpet etc.

Got a puncture just before the level crossing.

Arrived back to find an email refunding me an order I have been waiting for for weeks.

No explanation.

It is a good job I have a sense of humour.

Poor you Swimmy. I think you must be cursed! Have you upset the wrong peope?

Volcanoes in Shropshire? I didn’t think we had volcanoes in England. Or, were you referring to the Wrekin?
Hi

Yes, back bedroom looks out over The Wrekin and Haughmond Hill.

Hi

Nope, the wrong people have upset me, and my Lodgers.

Zac and Derek are back home, with nowhere to park.

Me being told to sod off Old Man was not a good idea.

Telling Zac and Derek, both much younger and fitter and Ex Military to bugger off back to Poland was an even worse idea.

I am now a Happy Womble.

All being well, Guy will be home Sunday, and left well alone.

You know how it works SG.

Your Gorillas would make mincemeat of anyone causing hassle to Mum or Dad.

Life in the sticks, it has a lot to be recommended.

Re: The last few days.

Hi

Thank you all for your kind comments.

I am in no way ready for his arrival, but I will be.

His Journey starts today final Medical Clearance, leaving his flat and then a Hotel in Taipei tonight,

A good rest, and then the long haul tomorrow.

Taiwan to Istanbul, a Stopover and then Manchester Airport Sunday Morning.

So much to go wrong, so much to go right.

I hope all goes well for Guy in his journey home, Swimmy.

You two will have a lot to catch up on.
