When you say “confiscate the Royal Estates” which assets are you referring to?

Do you mean

1. The Crown Estates

2. The Duchy of Lancaster and the Duchy of Cornwall

3. the Royal Family’s Personal assets

And what would you do with the Assets?

I cannot see a scenario where the RF personal assets can be confiscated - not unless we have a radical socialist regime that confiscates all private assets and wealth.

If the Govt confiscated the Crown Estate and Duchy assets and took ownership of it, I would worry that successive short term thinking Governments would raid the larder, selling income-producing assets for short term capital gain to “balance” their spending budgets.
Before you could say Jack Robinson, they’d have sold off the Royal Parks for city development and cut corners and costs on maintaining historic buildings.

I think it’s wrong that one family have so much, there is too many hangers-on being funded from the Duchy incomes and the whole RF income stream and how the Duchies income is used needs reviewing and overhauling but I’m wary of letting any Govt getting the power over the properties and assets of the Crown Estates and Duchies.
I am certain that if these assets had been transferred into Govt hands years ago, there would be none of the income-earning assets left by now - they would have been sold off long ago, along with the rest of the family silver.

The IHT really gets up my nose .
They don’t have to pay it on their vast estates while every Tom Dick and Harry has to pay 40% on anything they own ( and have paid tax on) over £325k

Many people only asset is their home which unless you live in Grimsby usually exceed this amount albeit a modest dwelling .
It’s wrong .

Re: The Prince Andrew interview

Yes I watched Virginia Andrew's last night .

There is a question I'd like to ask her " why didnt you leave " . Ok I know there was trafficking and she and others were being told to do these things which they did but if she didnt like it , why stay.

I remember being 16 and 17 , if I found myself in unpleasant circumstances I would leave .

Non the less it's a nasty business and I bet there are a few well known others out there quaking in their boots .

Re: The Prince Andrew interview

She didn’t leave because she liked the lifestyle and perks that come with the billionaire life style .
He didn’t have her chained up .
Now he’s dead and his huge estate is up for grabs .
Even other women who are not underage ( and she was not underage in London) are saying that they were touched up .
So what you too could have left too ..
Basically they weren’t ‘trafficked’ they sold themselves .
she was young then but she’s not young now and has children .
A fine time they will have at school if not now in the future .

He best go and find a hole somewhere to hide in .
His ( multimillion pound )Swiss chalet would be ok or maybe they can hide him in one of the Queens many residences .
He’s so disliked no one cares even if he has technically committed no crime.

He could go and do real charity work ( as did Profumo ) but I somehow think that is not his style .

Re: The Prince Andrew interview

I remember in the 90's when Prince Andrew was always referred to as "Randy Andy". I think he met Sarah Ferguson in some sleezy wife swapping club ?
