Its obvious that care homes are a sitting duck for the virus. They are often owned privately by owners unlikely to criticise the government. Often they use agency staff who mix in the community and have extra jobs at other care homes to supplement their obscenely low wages, they are relatively untrained and I expect fully unequipped with PPE especially as we see our abject government grovelling to Turkey after they refused help from the EU.
I expect the truth is they will be decimated by CV19 but because only those tested for CV19 in hospitals will be included our official stats the government and our syncophantic press will bury the story.
Welcome to Brexit Britain and old age care Dominic Cummings style.
The state of your health care and care for the elderly is a british phenomenon. There are no EU directives on how these should be organised. So brexit has no effect on what happens now. That is solely of your own making.

That your politicians put their rabid fear of the EU before the health of the sick by refusing to participate in a tender to buy ventilators is indicative of their characters. You get the leaders you vote for, and therefore deserve.

The Sunday Times reported that Dominic Cummings at the end of February had outlined the government’s strategy as “herd immunity, protect the economy and if that means some pensioners die, too bad.”

Yesterday Rutte announced we'll start lifting it because the curve has definitely flattened. Starting 11 may the schools will open again.
However, football season is over.

I believe that you would do well to apply the principles of Malthusianism to any condemnation of those beyond breeding age but yet still with the ability to include their experience to the herd.
