Let's not go to war over this because weren't all the wars we have been involved in voted on by Parliament?

I am baffled as to what value for money we see for the huge increase in Tory spend since the conlib coalition onwards. It's like a money pit and things just keep getting worse.

Correct the decision to go to war was approved by both houses .
Now this government are spending money like there is no tomorrow but it will have to be paid for and it will be the older generation who will be targeted .

True Muds, but it was either that or see the economy go down the drain.....And it still might!

I don't think the government will rely on the older generation to get them out of the mire, we won't be around long enough...

Poor old Boris; He's between a rock and a hard place...

The problem with Blair is he lied about the evidence about weapons of mass destruction. He also didn't consult the UN before bombing Iraq.

A couple of points you seem to have ignored.

As for Blair's illegal wars, because Blair lied to parliament that approval was illegal.

The situation facing the incoming government after the Blair / Brown disgrace was a nightmare that had to addressed. THAT and the toxic Labour opposition party they then faced had to be dealt with and that is why the spending had to take place. The B&B pair mad maxed out the national credit card, the repayments then had to be addressed. It was typical Council House economics by B & B that had poisoned the well in debt.
