Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Ooo that sounds good, corned beef pasties. Must try that. Have a tin of cb on order from Asda, coming Wednesday. Had liver and onions & bacon for lunch, yum. As there's loads left for another meal.

Thought the forecast was dodgy for this afternoon, but it must have changed, showing sunshine all the way now. Have just been having a discussion with DIL re electric fly killers. Despite hanging up a fly paper, the little bu**ers are driving me nuts in the kitchen.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Talking about wishing you'd never started it ......... said yes to doing a piece of calligraphy for a friend without seeing it! It's an "ode" to a retiring doctor - which is fine, but, (a) it's 14 verses long and some of the lines are too long to fit, and I've already spent two mornings on it and getting nowhere fast.

The flies are still driving me nuts in the kitchen and DIL says to electric fly killers won't deal with the big black ones, only fruit flies! So it's back to the spray - and covering everything beforehand.

Sorry, I'm a moaning minnie this morning - and it looks like rain......

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Where did you get your specs from Rhosyn? Was it an online job?

Have bitten the bullet and phoned my friend and told her I can't cope with the calligraphy project. Not like me to give up, but I've spent far too much time on it and am getting nowhere fast, so best to admit defeat.

Was very impressed with the Salisbury Poisonings programme that's been on for the last 3 nights. Did you see it?

Had my Asda order this morning - no frozen chicken, no Ryvita, but must be thankful for the essentials!
