Lost Property

In Kent - the police have decided not to take in any further lost property items - they say to go onto Facebook and put any item found on there.
As Kent are now doing this, it will soon be widespread.
Its a shame as I doubt many items will now be returned ......

That presupposes that the world and his dog a) Have computers and b) Visit trash sites like Facebook and Twitter.

That seems stupid many times lost property leads to them solving crimes. If people no longer hand in the purses and bags they find abandoned after muggings it's sort of saying they don't care. They have even found bodies in suitcases and cash and drugs from lost property being handed in.

I felt the same when I heard this
Cutbacks to blame I guess ...........

As I understand it the police force no longer has the resouces to do the job properly.
