Money Roxy. Probably money. It must be cheaper to build smaller roads, than big wide ones.

We suggested to our council that they could remove the grass verges and widen the road - but they said the verges were there for a purpose and had to stay. The only purpose they serve around here is as dog lavatories which, even though most dog owners do clean up after their dogs, eventually become very smelly.

Cars on pavements! Simple, when my children were in prams and buggies I'd inflict a key scratch along the side of such vehicles. Pavement are for pedestrians, cars are for roads. It might sound a tad harsh, however; it would ease my pavement rage sweetly.
