You can use IVF with donor eggs and your partner's sperm or with donor eggs and sperm.

Yes, but Carol was asking if the eggs were the woman's own or not. That's why I replied I doubted they would be viable that long after the menopause.

I assumed early on she was not the natural mother I have never heard of anyone of that age producing viable eggs.

Yes she had donor eggs so the babies aren't even genetically hers!!
This explains how it's done.

Re: Is it just me ? (Quadruplets news item)

A woman of 65 who already has 13 children and 7 grandchildren has just given birth to quads.
She travelled to Ukraine for fertility treatment in order to get pregnant.

Am I alone in finding this rather repugnant?

There's a photo of her with her massive family taken 10 years ago.
No sign of any father figure.

One can only assume she has lots of money and lots of support. She'll need it.

Thanks! I looked for a thread with "quads" in the title and couldn't find one so that is why I began a new thread. Thanks mods for moving my post.

Couldn't you insert "quads birth" into the title of this thread otherwise how do you know the subject matter?
