Re: "They don't like it up 'em"

I just give up! They know the disabled and vulnerable won't demonstrate and no one will take up their cause so they can safely attack them yet again! I refuse to watch Channel 5 now as I'm sick of all the "benefits" programmes on there. The poor are being vilified and I believe this government is behind this, if you read the comments about yesterday's masked protest on the BBC fb page, the number of comments on there blaming the unemployed for even the problems there.

The Government is not behind it, they are leading from the front!

I agree I refuse to give up though, we can't we may be only hope some people have now. My neighbour who we have been helping I will carry on helping they can't take much more away from her mind, she is just coming to the end of a period of being sanctioned so when her benefits start again I have said she must bring all her post round everyday so we can make sure she doesn't miss a meeting and I will take her to the door for each one. We will get her back on her feet if it's the last thing we do.

Just a very angry woman at the moment I find it hard to not try to help at least her. If I had the legs for it I would be marching with the protesters but sadly this is all I can manage.

You may feel you're not doing as much as you'd like but what you are doing is making a huge difference to a vulnerable person so don't sell yourself short. If more people would help those who need it there would be less suffering.

What point is there in putting wages up to someone who can't find work.

Working tax credits are only paid to working people on low wages, I agree benefits are too low too but this won't affect them. If wages go up many will realise working pays more than benefits and may help them get back into work too so it is a win win as far as I can see.
