"Murder Most Foul"

We are all horrified after reading of the horrific murder of Sadie Hartley a kind, loving mother and successful business woman, without any enemies, who was found stabbed to death with 40 stab wounds in her own home.

It is documented on ITV, watch it on Catchup. The murder was painstakingly and brilliantly solved by The Lancashire Constabulary under Paul Withers, Senior Investigating Officer
Many officers worked overtime and some had not seen their families for days.

The two women involved in this crime Sarah Williams, the instigator, was sentenced to 30 years and her partner in crime Katrina Walsh 25 years life They showed no remorse in Court
Murderers like that should never be released as Williams will be in her 50’s and could easily snare and beguile other men and commit more crimes.

Even though she had a ‘Sugar Daddy, from the age of 17 who kept her and paid for her holidays gave her an allowance of £300+ per week, plus large sums of money she had affairs when she felt like it. At work she was known as the Bunny Boiler for her treatment of men.

Sadie’s partner, Ian Johnston had an affair with Williams and wanted to end it as she was demanding.
The murder took place when he was on a skiing holiday alone. However, he was still exchanging explicit sexual texts with her a few days before the murder!

On TV where he is showing crying about the murder he says he is not culpable!
Well, if he had not foolishly put his sexual appetite first, while at the same times planning to marry Sadie, she would not be dead by the hands of a psychopath. He complains that Sadie did not leave him anything in her will, frankly he does not deserve anything.

And another thing. Why can’t criminals pay for their keep in prison? They live very well with free board and lodgings and most have lots of money too.

Terrible murder, I'm not sure most in prison do have pots of money, often they are poor that's why they commit offences. But I can't see why prisons cannot provide work that could self finance a bit, factory making something, non violent prisoners could be taken into the community to do jobs we need done but no one really wants to do.

Yes, there are some who do not have the means to pay, and it is a very good idea if they worked in the community under supervision.
But, In particular Williams has some properties she lets out and when she is released she will be very rich

Shouldn't she be made to compensate the grieving family of Sadie for the loss of their loving mother?

Many villains put most of their ill gotten gains in their wife's name too.

I'd like to see her fined by way of taking her properties away and some recompense to the victims family certainly.

I agree Azure ,I think criminals that can afford their keep should be forced to pay for it and most certainly should NOT become wealthy by being inside.
They should compensate the victims of their crimes with their finances ...if they are able and have the means.

What I found fascinating was the amount of information the police had to collect and collate while still paying attention to the smallest details in order to be able to present a "watertight" case at court.

As the details came to light, so the murder became ever more appalling in its cold-bloodedness.

Charlotte, Sadie's daughter, said:

The evidence produced in court has been extremely difficult to listen to.

We may have received some justice with the conviction and sentencing of Sarah Williams and Katrina Walsh, but it will never be enough. It will never bring our mum back.

We have had to go through a range of emotions and whilst to everyone else today it may appear as the end, for her family and friends, this will be never-ending.

Finally, we would like to praise the justice system and say thank you to all the officers involved in the investigation team at Lancashire Police, especially our Family Liaison Officers, who have been outstanding in their continued support.

Why do you have to take this topic off topic just to show a point of view that has nothing to do with the Topic starters post.
