Warm Christmas markets?

Normally we would go to Germany for the Christmas markets, but Mrs.G has suggested that we might find somewhere warm(er) to go. Not sure if this is compatible with the Xmas markets.

Anybody got any suggestions ? We don't want a religious themed one.

Thanks for those suggestions - worth following up. Our daughter is just back fron Marcelona, so I'll ask her about the city. I'd like to go back to Lisbon, but I'll go off-peak.

We went to Munich one year and the market was dire, this I was told was because it was Catholic. I wouldn't want to go anywhere like that again.

Barcelona is a lovely city and all Spanish markets, at least all the ones I´ve been to, are always colourful and very lively.

I thought being cold was part of the fun.... Huge cups of gluhwijn and bratwurst a foot long just to keep warm..

The Bath and Birmingham ones are impressive - not so warm though!

Come to Australia for Christmas markets. They are bloody hot, humid and expensive. How can you resist that?

I know there is a German Christmas Market in Birmingham in December as I have to fight my way through it to get to the hotel where the ex Sagazone people have their Christmas party!
