How do you book..

... do you use a travel agent or go it alone.

I've done both but have the last two times I have gone the route of the ABTA bonded agents rather than do it myself.

What do you do?

We do both. Next year I've got a holiday booked with Thomsons which I booked online and two holidays abroad where I booked the hotels and flights myself also online. The reason for the DIY holidays is that I wouldn't have got package holidays for what I wanted to do. I don't think DIY holidays necessarily turn out cheaper.

My husband books our Ferry tickets on-line, then we phone the campsite where we normally go as we know them quite well, and were booked in instantly!

Always do it ourselves on-line. Never book continental campsites as we're very flexible in our travel plans. That's the joy of having a motorhome.

By Phone or e mail. A number of Holiday companies have my name and will send notification if there is something available that they think will interest me.

Works for me

My wife and I book it alone. We've had some great adventures that way. She's amazing at finding wonderful deals and special places.

Nowadays Saga or Just You. Online if possible though sometimes may need to phone.

I used to just go off on my own without booking anything ... not so easy nowadays.
