Some feel faith without seeing what they have faith in.
Some say that what we see is an illusion, what we hear is all lies, and what we feel is tiredness when we are painting sheds or offices, that is because we cannot control our emulsions.

Great! Now we can start on Tea's, Coffee's, and other abominations of the Grocer's apostrophe wherever it rears its (no apostrophe) ugly head.

But hark, should it be Land's End or Lands' End. Is it the end of the land, or is it the end of the plural.
Is Land's End only the name of the end of the Land belonging to the Angles, or is it the end of the Land of all the British Isles?

Answers please on a postcard to the great burgers of the Kingdom of Kernow.

From the foreign mille passus, or five thousand Roman paces. Yeah, begone those foreign units and let's keep our, er, other foreign units instead.

… and shouldn't the ones pointing out to sea be naughty, I mean, nautical miles?

I would say Lands' End as in belongs too.
I fink.
Imperial rules
I can see for miles and miles.
Not I can see for km and km.
I have said my piece.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Yes but does belonging to mean the Land, singular, or the Lands, plural? Hmmmm.
The Kernow Council believe it be the former.

Does Mr Lacey still own the land? If so, does he not have a say in what he calls it?

We know a song about miles and miles don't we children.

Very appropriate with regard to The (Doctor) Who eggshibishun.
