Re: Suppositories

Fosse matey, get into the habit of eating plums/nectarines every day - that will help I promise. Like you I had a similar problem when doctors put me on Co-codomol & Oromorph. Have now resolved the issue.

Yep, plums & nectarines will do the trick.

Enough of those & you'll be taking a fly's eye out at 50 yards.

Re: Suppositories

Hello Everyone.
I suffer, and have suffered for many years, from constipation which at times can be very uncomfortable and an ex nurse friend of mine said I should try Lactulose and it works. I don,t take it every night but if I do not go to the loo for a couple of days then I take a dose and believe me it works. It can be bought over the counter at a chemist and is around a fiver a bottle.

Re: Suppositories

I remember an ex girlfriend of mine used to take FibreGel which seemed to work. Of course, this is for solving one way, Ffosses problem is he gets it both ways.

Re: Suppositories

I had to use one yesterday as it was about 5 days since I had a movement. The suppository worked within 10 minutes.

The plastic on them was incredibly tough to take off, though. I had to attack it with scissors.

Re: Suppositories

Dried apricots eaten not as a suppository do the trick I find cocodomol is dreadful for constipating people.

Bit difficult to insert plums & nectarines up one's bum I would have thought. I suppose it depends on which side you bat for.
