Minimum wage is implemented by the UK Government. We pay higher wages than a lot of countries in the EU which is why we had so many EU migrant workers.

Devaluing the pound mean that if you live in the Eurozone, then you end up sending less money back abroad.

Of course you are right. First of all you have jobs/work. That is more than e.g. polish workers find in poland. Then they come to you and you pay more than wages in poland. Absolute workers paradise.
Pray explain to me why british unemployed workers do not take on that work? Especially when after brexit poles will not come to the UK?

In that case the only solution is to import cheap labour.
Your solution: do YOU intend to spend your holiday in that fashion? Is your longing for romance that big?
In my time this way of spending a working holiday was for young people. Those with full time jobs, small children, want to relax, not go on working in their holidays.

I take it you dont think it will work then Solash.
Having been in the tourist trade myself, l think it would!
People with jobs, small children etc think that is a holiday!
It is totally oppsite to their daily life.
Plus it saves them a fortune and accomodation is free!
People in uk no longer do manual work, Solash, they push
buttons & shuffle papers for a living, they feel worthless
Because there is nothing to show for what they do
They welcome something that puts their feet back on the
ground.
I think your perspective on life is very narrow, Solash
which probably explains your veiws on brexit

Re: The fruit farmer

Hi

Not an issue at all.

We have already agreed a system of seasonal workers permits for Eu Residents to work in Agriculture.

The British unemployed do not want the jobs, simple as.

The same goes for abattoir work, our own do not want it.

They would rather stay on Benefits.

What unemployed British workers ? We have full employment, we arent like Spain and Portugal and Germany and the rest of the declining EU where there is up to 25%+ unemployment.

That might be the case but either the pound will need to be strong to attract them of farmers will have to pay more which depending on who they provide will either push up prices or squeeze farmers margins
