Re: My own personal protest
[QUOTE=Meg;1682953]I think spoiling a vote is pointless , I intend to make my vote a protest vote in the European Elections and the General Election when we get one.
I also disagree with the term
'national humiliation' the nation has done nothing humiliating , many citizens have exercised a democratic vote in a referendum I see nothing humiliating in that.
Some MPs and the PM are a bit of an embarrassment but that should not be used to tar the whole nation with one brush.[/QUOTE
Unfortunately Meg, the way I see it, we, the British people, know who exactly is to blame for this treacherous debacle, but the world outside of this Island only see us as the UK, and how we, as a country once respected the world over, with the help of our treacherous MPs, have allowed the European Union to humiliate us, treat us with total disdain, disrespect, scorn and mockery, and diminished the standing of the United Kingdom in the eyes of the rest of the world.
And who can blame them for thinking how diminished the UK has become, when you see the dwarfish figure of Emmanuel Macron lording it over us at that UK meeting this week, and pompously demanding that "we behave ourselves". We have reached rock bottom in our standing in the world.
That, I'm afraid, is the hard truth.
