Re: Introvert...Extrovert.

I think I'm a bit of both.

Put me in front of a group of people to speak & I nearly wet myself. Also I'm not good at socialising in a crowd. My preference is small groups

On the other hand I don't mind starting an argument if I think somebody has done me (or someone else) wrong. I'm quite good at standing up for myself.

At any musical event I'm the first on the dance floor - on my own or with partner. My preferable dance is jive. Makes me feel 16 again.lol

I believe in complaining & won't take no for an answer.

For instance last year at Warner's holiday hotel I complained about their management of social distancing & got £100 refund from them . Other people who had moaned but not complained got nothing..

I'm not OTT extrovert though - I don't do anything showy or silly.

What act would be classed as extrovert anyway I wonder?

Good question, which in fairness the op did ask.

Most people refer to examples of introversion or extroversion.

This suggests there's some kind of scale.

What's the midpoint??

I'm a lot more confident now I'm an oldie. Nobody cares or notices old people, so who cares what you say or do or talk to? When I was young I was always worrying about my shape, clothes, whether I said the right thing or not. Now - not so much.

Maybe (in sterotypical Claire Rayner agony aunt column style) it's a sexual problem.

When you're younger, you're on the prowl/hunt and want to look good in the eyes of potential mates.

When you get older and beyond such things, you don't give a monkeys.

Ah right.....I know exactly what you mean.

I have done that in my own life, I have kept to one path without ever faltering.

Other paths not so much...or sometimes I just think they were obstacles and not paths...

Have always ended back up on that narrow path.
