Paralympic picture 1955

My Father ) I cant stop staring at this picture.. its the first time ive seen his arms and how thin his legs had got but its silly things like the way his hair went at the back lol ive only seen the wedding picss mum has and they are all front shots and ive never seen this other detail.. im so proud

What a great piece of history Cassie, that was quite an achievement for your Dad and it just goes to show the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.....

Lovely Photo and quite apt at this moment in time with the Olympics
finishing tomorrow. I saw the great programme a few weeks ago how
Stoke Mandeville and Dr Ludwig Guttmann started the Olympics for the
disabled. It was a awe inspiring programme. From your post you didnt
know him for long. Shame.
About the photo can you not get one of the photos and have them
copied yourself, it would be cheaper. Also I go on a site called
Rootschat and they have people who can restore photos, but if
it is copyright it might not be able to be done to take the writing off.
