1st time jab rates are rather slower ATM than they were, admittedly, however, the UK really is cracking on with 2nd jabs. How many EU countries (sorry EU states) can say the same?

I spoke to my French colleagues today. I really feel for them, they said they have no vaccine appointments and probably won't get one until June. They said France is now following the UK by vaccinating as many as possible with a first dose then the second one months later.

That'll be like most of the crud against the AstraZeneca vaccine then; "incomprehensible" - especially in light of mounting evidence of similar problems with other manufacturers of Covid vaccines.

It's becoming more obvious with every passing day that it is pure protectionism.
Both from the EU and from global big pharma.
The sad result is, of course, that more people will die unnecessarily.
