Re: Brexit border delays??

Hi

Boris went for a hard Brexit, we are now a Third Country and being treated as such.

This was our choice, our decision.

A lot of the Border Issues are down to our CHIEF System crashing.

We are complaining the EU are to blame, when the reality we are the ones who were not ready.

It will get sorted, and no, I do not think we should give in on this one.

We can do the same to the EU regarding border checks and paperwork; the UK said it would hold off checks for 6 months but nothing's stopping us from retaliation.
Oh and another thing: it's the EU consumer that is suffering too.
Ask the Spanish who now cannot make their national dish of Paella.
mmm, our refusal to recognise a union as a nation state?!, I'll remember that!

You do that.
A good dictionary will advise what a union is.
Then you might like to check what a kingdom is too.

Yes, that's the one Percy, but reported from a different angle !!
Correct me if l am wrong, but wasn't it agreed between Boris and
Barmy to allow a six month truce before applying any new
procedures??
I see no mention of this concerning recent events??

No, the UK said it would relax checks on imports in favour of keeping goods flowing.
The EU didn't.
That was decided way back in June IIRC.

I'd like to know where the supposedly "lost" duties are coming from when there is free trade though, as has been asked before?

Ah, here for import checks:
