I probably would have taken the woman in but the wife would definitely not have, so that would have caused a bit of friction between the wife and me, no on second thoughts I'd have to make up some excuse and refuse her access.

My wee auntie used to say "don't get too pally with neighbours". I've always remembered that. I now have lovely neighbours. We're all here for each other if need be, but we don't disclose personal business. That suits me.

Is she was ill either call one of her friends or family , or a ambulance, if drunk would of called one of her family , or the police if I was concern about her welfare

Exactly. Your reasons are your own and you owe no one any explanations.

My thing is I just don't trust people anymore. I don't even open my door to people unless I know who it is or I'm expecting a delivery, etc. Two neighborhoods over a woman was raped because she let in a man that she THOUGHT was from the utilities company, he was posing and told her he was taking surveys in the neighborhood.

That's an odd thing to say no one disagreed or asked suzi why she did anything, suzi was asking us for our reasons was way I read it... and still no one disagreed with her
