We keep it in a glass spaghetti jar sold to hold - spaghetti!

That's 50 centimetres...

It comes wrapped in thick black paper.
It must be made for the UK. It is not sold in the U.S. I am a chef and I have never , ever seen such. Nor can I find it located on any list of pastas.
Please post a photo of this stuff.

Re: A story about spaghetti

Bakerman I will gladly take a photo later. It takes me
a while to upload the photo to Imgur to post it so it will
probably appear tomorrow.

Unfortunately I haven't got the wrapper but it's black
paper and I think it has an Italian label on it.

Peace and Love bro

Yes, Absolutely. I have been cooking in restaurants and hotels since I was 17 years old. First started my internship in the New Orleans French Quarter. But I started novice cooking at age 9 or 10. So, what's that... 64 years of experience cooking ?

Thank you so much, Tabby.
The only art which requires all 5 senses.

I completely agree with the signature (at the bottom left of the page).

we used to have one of those long jars (until the cat knocked it over) The spaghetti just about fitted with the lid on.

Traditionally, most spaghetti was 50 cm (20 in) long, but shorter lengths gained in popularity during the latter half of the 20th century and now spaghetti is most commonly available in 25–30 cm (10–12 in) lengths.

Biffo, thank you. If I had not seen it with my own eyes I never would have believed it. I guess it's true. We learn something new every day.
