Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell are my favouritest but I like all sorts of music - anything except rap and the ultra modern things which we aren't supposed to like anyway.There's quite a lot of classical music I enjoy and I absolutely loved the 3 or 4 operas I attended.
I also really like 'The Great American Songboook' music - stuff Parky used to play on his Sunday morning radio programme. I miss that
I think Sinatra, in his pomp, was just superb

I find I like a huge variety of music.Favourite is heavy metal and rock. Rainbow, Kiss, Meatloaf, Rammstein.
Also love Tina - seen her twice and was blown away by her energy.
M People, Lighthouse Family, U2, Robbie Williams.
Kenny Rogers, Dr Hook, Dolly Parton, Steve Earl.
Scottish pipes and drums, Irish and Russian fiddle music.
Love the music of John Tavener.
- and loads of stuff I've forgotten to mention.

I like all sorts of different music from folk to classical with the exception of Jazz, I even acquired a taste for 'clubbing' music when my son lived at home, some of it is very intricate with layer upon layer of sound.One of the most moving musical experiences I have ever had was a couple of years ago when I went to a performance given by a group of Ukrainian singers who have a repertoire of sacred music and folk songs, the Boyen Ensemble of Kiev. I was asked to go as chaperone to a very homesick Ukrainian girl . The performance was simply enchanting and the little girl's eyes shone bright with joy and tears as she was transported back home for a short time
.They are touring here again this year and well worth a visit..

Folk : The Highwaymen, Burl Ives, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Arlo Guthrie and his dad Woody too, Peter Paul and Mary,Pete Seegar, Ian and Sylvia too many to mention/Rock, Elvis! Buddy Holly, Simon and Garfunkel, the Eagles, Lindisfarne, the Stones, the Beach Boys, Beatles, Everly Brothers .....
Classical: mostly chamber music, Bach, Mozart, Scarlatti (both), John Dowland,
Miscellaneous: pipe music, Japanese flute music, Gilbert and Sullivan

I love 60's music especially.
I don't much care for modern music. I sometimes listen to some classical, but have to be in the right mood. Jupiter has to be my fave classical.
