Bruce - 1 (even if a little too belligerent)
Twink - 0 (in this instance, a total lack of evidence)

If I had wanted an Australians opinion I wouldn't have opted out of living there with my millionaire boyfriend. Never could tolerate people who thought they knew it all!

Yet another pertinent and thought-provoking contribution, Twinks.
Thank you so much.

Bruce and Gummy and others have provided maps, statistics and sources and articulated their case sanely and rationally.
And that's the best you can come up with ?
Really ???

I have asked you these questions before Julie without eliciting any rational answer .

Where do ' we ' put them ?
Where do they live ?
Where do their children go to school?
How about hospital treatment ?
Seeing as our NHS is strained to the utmost local children often can't get places in schools and housing is a massive problem .
where do you see them all fitting in ?

Unfortunately Australia has more than its share of know it alls .
Especially those who have not put a toe out of the place but remain nicely insulated form wider world issues.
Many Australian men are especially inept at dealing with educated intelligent women .

Yes I know Muddy, it was one of the reasons I decided not to live there.

Well, with that sort of stupid, generalized, ill-informed attitude, Aus wins by your absence.
God, you might have bred - and adversely impacted our gene pool.

Yes, I'd like those questions answered too.

with our cork rimmed hats
and women who don't answer back
ho ho ho ho ho ho!

what do we have that the Brits don't have?

an excellent border patrol policy that keeps the riff raff out

plenty of sunshine coming my way
zippadee doo dah zippadeh day
there's kookaburra on my shoulder
fishing for me all day

is a muddy pool better than a gene pool or have I muddied the waters?
