If you lived in a previous era.

If you lived in a previous bygone era, who and what would you be? I have searched my family history, and believe that if I had to step into their shoes, I would be an artist or hotel owner.
What would you be? In a bygone era.

I have thought about this by myself. I think I would have liked to be a history teacher at a Grammar School in a market town in the 1930s. Obviously I will never know if this would have given me the satisfaction that I imagine.

The late 50s and swinging 60s
It must hsve felt like ANYTHING was possible

And I'd have given Mary Quant a run for her money!

50's & 60's for me too. I would have been the world's greatest guitarist (and all that comes with it )and song writer and would have been bigger than the beatles.

I would have been a carpenter by day and musician ( singer, sax player ) at night in the earlier part of this century but I’d magically have plenty of hot water. That twice a year bathing thing would have to go.

Late 60's/early 70's for me. Worked at the largest Advertising Agency in London and everyday was a party! (we were always capturing new clients so any excuse to party!)


If given the opportunity again, I would have taken the position of Staff Manager offered at the time by a newly formed Security company, and which I foolishly turned down. I only applied on a whim and was enjoying myself so much at work that I didn't give it a second thought when I eventually decided against leaving them.

That Security company is mega now providing most of the security for visiting stars and foreign dignitaries. Oh well, young and foolish.

I think I would have enjoyed working for them.

I would like to have lived in ancient Egypt, but only if I could have been Pharoah of course....

Here are some pics of the castle in Ireland that has my family’s name, so it might even belong to me! I might have to make some minor alterations, though!

They had a habit of being Bumped Off Barry, you'd need eyes in the back of your head.

Me, I was a Teen in the 60s and enjoyed my life after I left home and got my own wee place. I'd like to return to that Era but this time I'd not be getting married or even looking for a B/F it would be a Career for Moi. Not sure what exactly but something Arty.
